Daylight Sensor

The daylight sensor is a virtual sensor built into every Hue Bridge. The sensor provides the current time of day in the form of "Day" or "Night". The time of day is determined using a table that contains the times for sunrise and sunset using the GPS position stored in the Hue Bridge. In order the times for sunrise and sunset being as realistic as possible, the correct GPS position of the Hue Bridge must be defined.

Settings

The following parameters can be adjusted with this app:

  • Description of the sensor
  • Position of the Hue Bridge, defined by the GPS coordinates Longitude and Latitude
  • Time offset of the sunrise and sunset, e.g. to trigger the sunrise 15 minutes earlier than defined according to the calendar
